March 8: Gender and Climate Change Recognition


 


For this 8 of March, 2007, celebrating the International Women’s Day, the
World Conservation Union (IUCN) is going to acknowledge the importance of
gender and climate change. 

The key objective is to recognized the work of women from all the around the
world working in this subjects ( i.e., policy, mitigation, adaptation). 

If you are interested in being a candidate or proposing someone else’s name
you need to send a picture with a small paragraph of the candidate and an
explanation of her efforts and commitments to the topic, no latter than
February 12th, 2007, the email: paula.zunga at iucn.org 

 

 



8 de Marzo: Reconocimiento Género y Cambio Climático


Este 8 de Marzo de 2007, celebrando el Día Internacional de la Mujer, la
Unión Mundial para la Naturaleza (UICN) hará un reconocimiento del
importante vínculo entre el cambio climático y género. 

El objetivo principal será reconocer el trabajo de las mujeres alrededor del
mundo en este tema (i.e., en políticas, mitigación y adaptación). 

Los interesados en postularse o postular a una candidata deben enviar una
foto y un párrafo pequeño con una explicación de sus esfuerzos y compromisos
con el tema. 

 

La fecha límite es el 12 de Febrero de 2007. Favor enviar la informacion al
