Dear Colleagues: 

 

IUCN and the Secretariat of the CBD are in the process of ensuring that
women and their organizations dealing with issues mandated by the Convention
on Biological Diversity (CBD) are recognized as a Major Group. The
Information for Participants, which includes relevant information on the
up-coming COP 9 meeting including the pre-registration forms will be made
available on the CBD web site once finalized. Please keep checking the web
site at www.cbd.int 

 

In order to ensure proper accreditation please send your completed
pre-registration forms, including an official letter from the organization
you are representing to Ms. Marie Aminata Khan, CBD Gender Focal Point at
marie.khan at cbd.int

La UICN y el Secretariado del CDB están en el proceso de asegurar que las
mujeres y sus organizaciones que trabajan con temas relacionados con el
mandato del Convenio sobre la Diversidad Biológica (CBD) sean recocidas como
un “Major Group” (Grupo Principal). La información para las participantes,
la cual incluye información importante acerca de la próxima reunión de la
